"Kiss Me, Kate" a hilarious play within a play

Music and Lyrics by Cole Porter
When Fred Graham and his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi both star in the Broadway-bound musical version of William Shakepeare's "The Taming of the Shrew," arguments and gambling debts ensue. Throw in a couple of gangsters looking to get their money or cause bodily harm and you have a delightful romp through Old English literature and 1940s swing.

Directing for the first time on the Elkin stage will be Jessie Grant who recently comes off the highly successful Forbush High School production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie," and was assistant director of "Children of Eden" at Forbush. We look forward to working with Jessie, a Lees-McCrae graduate with a degree in theater arts, and her enthusiasm and knowledge.
