The Annual Clifford Morrison Memorial Juried Art Competition: Saturday, September 29, 2007

While Elkin’s Main Street pulses with the energy of those enjoying the Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival, the main gallery of the Foothills Arts Council captivates visitors with another visual treat. The Annual Clifford Morrison Memorial Juried Art Competition celebrates its grand opening and presentation of awards on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the council’s main gallery at 129 Church Street.  Opening Reception runs from 10 am until 4 pm.  Awards presentation will be conducted at 2 pm.

The Morrison Memorial Juried Art Show is named in honor of the late artist, Clifford Morrison. His efforts, along with his wife, Gladys, ensured the success of past shows. His love for the arts and the people in our community make the Juried Art Show a fitting endeavor to bear his name.
